Meet Dr. Salyer of OrthoArizona – Arizona Orthopaedic Associates

A graduate of University of Arizona Medical School, Dr. Salyer completed his residency at University of California and returned to Arizona to establish his orthopedic practice. Dr. Salyer offers treatment in all aspects of orthopedics and specializes in total joint replacement, sports injuries, fractures, and adults and pediatric reconstruction.

“I was very young when I knew I was going to be a doctor. I was always a good student. I enjoy the mechanical aspects of orthopedic surgery. It’s gratifying to see the results in my patients, often fairly quickly. When I first went to medical school, I thought I was going to be a heart surgeon. I saw that the orthopedic residents were having more fun. I think there’s less stress in this specialty because patients are healthy.”
